Omega Morgan transports 4 adsorber vessels using specialized tank trailers
Over the course of two evenings, our Portland-based specialized transportation crews delivered four adsorber vessels from the Port of Vancouver to our yard in North Plains, Oregon. This move required particular planning and equipment to execute, and our crews rose to the occasion to get the job done.
A SPECIAL KIND OF MOVE
This move needed to be done carefully, since adsorber vessels cannot be transported on standard “flat” trailers. They required the use of our two specialized “tank” trailers that could properly and safely move the load from the port to our yard, and eventually onto their ultimate destination, a microprocessor manufacturing facility in Oregon.
Our expert crews worked with state and county governments to acquire the proper permitting and plan for the complex move. The load was quite significant — each adsorber was 16’ wide, 16’ tall, and 24’ long, weighing approximately 68,000 pounds.
AHEAD OF THE GAME — AND THE SCHEDULE
The specialized transportation team — with a critical assist from our crane services crews — moved the adsorbers safely from the Port of Vancouver to our yard in North Plains, and then again to our customer’s site a week later. The move took less time than planned, and our customer was very pleased with the on-time delivery of the adsorbers to their facility.
