Omega Morgan awarded 2024 Hauling Job of the Year by SC&RA
Omega Morgan was awarded Hauling Job of the Year in the 160,000 – 500,000 lbs category by the Specialized Carriers and Riggers Association (SC&RA) for the culmination of a six-year project to transport massive turbine runners across British Columbia.

A Massive Achievement in Specialized Transportation
Omega Morgan’s specialized transportation team rose to the challenge of moving the six turbine runners from Prince Rupert to a remote location near Fort St. John.
With each load weighing 380,000 pounds and measuring 225 feet in length, our team had to step up and create custom-engineered solutions to navigate the immense size and weight, and to ensure the delicate turbine runners were properly handled.

Nothing about the route—Highway 16, the only viable route to northern BC—was straightforward. We went to work creating a custom barge-to-transport solution, orchestrated the crossing over 110 bridges, and had to think on their feet to navigate through treacherous winter conditions.
Thanks to the incredible effort by our creative and experienced crews and engineers, we delivered all six turbines safely, with zero incidents or injuries.
