On Thursday, March 23, a client of Omega Morgan presented Neil Morgavi with the Directors’ Award for high achievement in Safety Leadership. The award recognizes unwavering and fearless contributions to safety on the job.

On Friday, March 3, Mr. Morgavi noticed that multiple equipment-moving casters were missing bolts, a potentially hazardous situation. He called an all-stop—something every Omega Morgan employee has the right and obligation to do—and brought it to the attention of necessary parties.

“Hazard recognition and mitigation are the most important injury prevention tools at our employees’ disposal. Neil’s attention to detail and courage to utilize his Stop Work Authority likely prevented an incident from occurring,” said Jim Jones, Director of Health & Safety at Omega Morgan. “This is exactly why our workforce is empowered to do so.”
