Omega Morgan Offloads Wind Components in Arlington, OR
Omega Morgan is currently supporting a client in the renewable energy industry to offload components set to go to a wind farm near Arlington, OR. The client needed access to a wind distribution center to offload and store components in this remote area, and Omega Morgan was able to provide the perfect storage solution.
Our Portland-based crews are working out of Omega Morgan’s Shutler Station Wind Distribution Center, located in Shutler Industrial Park, an intermodal industrial property offering rail access onsite. Our crews need to be on point and ready with equipment to offload the components as trains arrive; it’s been a busy year for wind-powered energy, and rail cars are in short supply.
Limited Rail Cars, Fast and Proficient Turnarounds
Our team makes fast and proficient work of offloading the 70-ton nacelles and 30-ton hubs so the rail cars can return to the factory or port to be reloaded. Since the supply of rail cars is limited, quick turnarounds are essential.
We’re pleased to say that our crew continues to meet the client’s schedule for offloads and load-outs. It’s also a great opportunity to support the continued development of renewable energy in the Pacific Northwest.
